Well time flies. A quick review of 2010 followed by hopefully more current updates.

After the first beach trip, there was a second one with a different side of the family.

Not surprising, Liam had a great time. We went to a "drive-thru" animal park, where Liam was more scared than excited.

He was not impressed by this:

He spent lots of time in the pool:

Made new friends:

Went for walks with dad to look at the boats:

Liam had more of a blast this year. He loved being the in the pool in his "boat" and playing on the beach and in the water.

At first, there was some sitting and splashing

But we soon moved on to standing and splashing

We don't have any pictures of this but Liam thought that
this little girl should share by giving Liam her toy. She
disagreed and hip-checked him back in to his place. Liam
took it very well.

We had a great time and a very tired boy at the end of it.

Pumpkin Patch

We took Liam to a pumpkin patch today and while initially concerned about all the activity, he was quite pleased w/ his pumpkin.

It's beach time again. Liam was there last year, in utero. This year, though, he got to enjoy every aspect personally. Including the never ending drive.

Liam, Maggie and I went to a local park and had a wonderful time. Liam had a wonderful time trying out all the 'rides' and enjoyed eating a bunch of sand.

Happy 4th! We ventured to Richmond to visit Uncle John and see the sights. We had a wonderful time even without seeing fireworks (past everyone's bedtime.) We had great meals and great company. Liam is becoming quite a seasoned traveler.

It seems like every day Liam's doing something new or better or different than he was, sometimes just since the day before. Here are some before and now shots:

Not Liam's First Baseball Game

We're counting the Indians game at the end of June as his "real" first baseball game but we did go to watch the Buckeyes play at the new Huntington Park in Columbus and had a great time. Not a bad seat in the place! We sat at the picnic tables and Dan was always at the ready to catch any balls hit our way (none were).

*****This is an old post but I couldn't figure out how to rotate the video.

The boy is asleep and if the last 2 nights are any indication, it may not be for that much longer :(
Although, we traveled far and wide this weekend, so that may have had something to do with it. Dan tried feeding him some rice cereal tonight and (of course) it was smooth sailing. Practically no need for a bib; when I've tried it we've had to change outfits. No complaints though - the boy is fed and I can update the site! Liam's been growing like a weed - up to 18lbs and 26.34 inches long! He's easily wearing 6-9 months and I've put him in some 12 month short outfits. Slightly big but he'll definitely be in them by the end of the summer. He's been building up his muscles by hanging out in the Jumparoo (see video) and got ready for a fun summer by having his first swim this weekend. Exciting times!

Is actually the name of Tomacco's new CD. Since 3 of the 5 band members hail from New Washington, they decided to have their CD release party (!) at Pete's Cafe on the town square. It was a 2 for 1 deal because we got to stay with Grandma and Grandpa Kenny who hadn't seen Liam since before they left for Florida at the end of January. Once again, he was a perfect baby! Here Liam and Grandma are smiling and laughing at each other.

He's just so darn cute. And growing by the second. The weather is supposed to be wonderful this weekend (well at least on Saturday) so I'm hoping to get some more pictures and possibly some video taken and put up. He's starting to use his toys and is really grabbing for things! He's still as happy as ever!

And here he's discovered his hands. We discovered he's just about 2 weeks too young to sit in the bumbo w/out causing respiratory distress - he gets slouched over and can't quite right himself.

Easy like Sunday Morning

Liam loves the mornings. This is his happiest time of the day. He laughs, smiles and coos his way through our several cups of coffee. It's great on the weekends when we can reciprocate the smiles up close and personal. Luckily he doesn't take offense during the weekdays while we're telling him we love him and smiling while rushing around getting ready for work.

He does not like tummy time so much, this is about as happy as he gets while being forced to do that.

I've got our lives scattered all over the internet (much to Dan's chagrin) so here's my attempt to be more localized. We're getting more sleep now - 3-4 hour stretches, sometimes even 5. This has been most helpful in returning to work and feeling like normal humans, rather than zombies. Here are some early pictures of Liam, he looks and acts nothing like this now. He just discovered his hands and loves to look at himself in the mirror. We've been giving him different stuffed animals and blankets for him to feel and are sorely lacking in 'tummy time'. He's due for his 2 month check up around his 3 month birthday so, like everything else in our lives, that's right on track. He's definitely getting bigger but I'm not sure he'll ever be one of those babies w/ huge thigh rolls. Too much Kelly and Kenny in him for that.
